About Sunward

Sunward Cohousing is a community of forty private homes clustered in the center of Sunward’s 20 acres. There’s privacy when you need it, and social contact when you want it.

Sunward is a pedestrian community with parking intentionally located on the periphery. There is no through-traffic, making campus easily walkable and safe for children playing.

There are about 90 Sunward residents. We are families, singles, young folks, retirees, and children. We are people who value living in a neighborhood where everyone knows your name and it is easy to interact with neighbors. We are artisans and gardeners, doctors and engineers, educators and entrepreneurs, and more. We come from diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, and spiritual and secular paths. We are bound by our commitment to live together in community.

In this video, Noelani Conahan, who grew up in Sunward, interviews her Sunward neighbors.
